New at the Old Farmer's Ball: Beyond Beginners!
Same time as the beginner session (7:30, before the dance), but aimed
at those who are... you guessed it! ... beyond beginners! Once you know
the basics of navigating the dance, please join this on-going session each
week. Topics will vary, and will include:
1) beyond beginner dance skills -- how to twirl, dip, etc. with safety
and finesse; lead and follow for swing dance flourishes; how to make the
most of crowded space; etc.
2) taking charge of our dance culture -- how to minimize creepiness on
the dance floor; addressing issues that stem from our broad age range;
building community; etc.
Specific topic suggestions are welcomed -- just e-mail Diane at diane@diane-silver.com
with your request.
Leaders for these sessions are also welcomed. If you have a topic you
would like to lead, also e-mail Diane.
Sessions will meet at the outdoor amphitheater next to the Kittredge

Please come this Thursday! Contra dance is a self-made event -- it is
only as great as everyone chooses to make it. Your participation really
does matter.
